I’m Asian, in my twenties, and right now work as an Elementalist in Mindanao.
Well, not exactly. I do not have command over earth, wind, fire and water, but I write about those things and train people to work with them.
PASALI Philippines Foundation trains rice farmers to become master of SRI, System of Rice Intensification. SRI rice costs less than conventional rice production, needs less water, minimal chemical input, natural seeds, is more resistant to storms and pests, releases far less methane than submerged paddies which is 20x stronger global warming factor than carbon dioxide, does not damage nature, and farmers get their normal feet, legs, and everything skin back.
PASALI installs AIDFI’s hydraulic water systems all over Mindanao – pumps that require very little maintenance and have beaten a large number of rival systems due to its ability to make water transport to higher altitudes despite its motorlessness, and sustainability because it requires no fuel from the community to make it roll.
Only FIRE and WIND are left to master. I wonder if these count: PASALI has plans to refine a rice husk cooking oven and harnessing wind energy is something for the future.
